The Coolest Stamps of 2025
Limited-edition Forever stamps that will transform your mail
Every year, the U.S. Postal Service releases dozens of stamps, covering all sorts of subjects from historical figures to flowers. While you can’t go wrong with any stamp (as long as it provides enough postage), here are some of the coolest stamps of 2025.

Celebrating the Postal Service journey over 250 years
250 Years of Delivering — Can you find all the USPS-related icons in this bird’s-eye view of a town created by artist Chris Ware? Be sure to check the back of the pane for clues. Issued to celebrate a major U.S. Postal Service anniversary, 250 Years of Delivering represents the ubiquitous presence of USPS throughout the years and the vital role the postal system has played in American life since 1775. Each individual stamp is a frame of sequential art that tells the story of a mail carrier’s daily journey as she walks her route through four seasons. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamps with Ware.

Take a hike
The Appalachian Trail — There’s nothing like a hike to help you appreciate life, and these stamps celebrate the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Running almost 2,200 miles, this footpath along one of Earth’s most ancient mountain ranges lies nonetheless within easy reach of large metropolitan areas of the East Coast. A pane of 15 photographic stamps showcases the scenic variety found along this Maine-to-Georgia trail, commonly known as the Appalachian Trail or by the initials A.T. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamps using existing photographs.

The charms of baby animals
Baby Wild Animals — Wild animals are already cute, but these baby wild animals are extra adorable. Each stamp features a graphic illustration of a different animal with details of its habitat, including flowers, leaves, water, and other natural elements. The animals — fox, owl, deer, seal, rabbit, raccoon, bear, skunk, bobcat, and chipmunk — range widely across the United States. Tracy Walker illustrated and designed the stamps with art director Greg Breeding.

The "first lady of television"
Betty White — These stamps honor the life and legacy of actor, TV personality, and animal advocate Betty White (1922–2021), whose television appearances spanned the history of the medium and delighted generations of fans. The stamp illustration, digitally created by Dale Stephanos, is based on a photograph taken by Kwaku Alston in 2010. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamp.

A perennial favorite
Dahlias — Dahlias are beloved flowers, but these stamps let you see them in a new light. Close-up photographs feature showy dahlia blossoms in a range of colors. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps using existing photographs by Denise Ippolito. They are being sold in booklets of 20 stamps and in coils of 3,000 and 10,000.

Stamps baited to hook
Freshwater Fishing Lures — These stamps are not only perfect for anglers, but they look cool, too. This issuance celebrates the beauty and ingenuity of some of America’s most successful freshwater fishing lures, featuring five close-up photographs of popular fishing lure designs: crankbait, popper, spoon, spinner, and wakebait. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps using original photographs by Sarah Cramer Shields.

Christmas with a vintage feel
Holiday Cheer — Each of these contemporary stamps features a collage of either a holly wreath, three amaryllis flowers, cardinals perched on mistletoe, or an evergreen branch decorated with fruit. Art director Derry Noyes designed the stamps with artwork by Denise Fiedler.

The universal experience of love
Love — Keith Haring’s work is just as cool today as it was in the 1980s, and the 2025 Love stamp celebrates the universal experience of love with his 1985 Untitled drawing. The stamp artwork depicts two moving figures reaching toward a red heart, a theme Haring returned to throughout his career. Art director Antonio Alcalá selected the Haring artwork for the stamp design.

A delicate beauty
Luna Moth — Sometimes the process is just as cool as the result. For this beautiful luna moth stamp art, a high-resolution scanner with extended focus captured multiple layers of the preserved moth individually to ensure that all parts appeared in sharp focus. The final image is a composite of these images. Noted for their lovely green coloring and larger-than-average size, luna moths (Actias luna) are among the most beautiful moths in the United States. Art director Derry Noyes designed the non-machinable stamp with an existing image by Joseph Scheer.

Ringing in the Lunar New Year
Lunar New Year • Year of the Snake — Celebrating the Year of the Snake, this stamp calls to mind the elaborately decorated masks used in the dragon or lion dances often performed in Lunar New Year parades. The artwork, a three-dimensional mask depicting a snake, is a contemporary take on the long tradition of paper-cut folk-art crafts created during this time of year. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamp with original artwork by Camille Chew that was photographed by Sally Andersen-Bruce.

Exploring deep space
Spiral Galaxy — There’s nothing more fascinating than space, and this stamp celebrates America’s continued exploration of deep space with another breathtaking image captured by NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope. The stamp features spiral galaxy NGC 628, located 32 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Pisces. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamp, using an image provided by NASA, the European Space Agency, Canadian Space Agency, Space Telescope Science Institute (StScl), Janice Lee (STScI), Thomas Williams (Oxford), and the Physics at High Angular resolution in Nearby GalaxieS Team.

Greetings from Bikini Bottom
SpongeBob SquarePants — Are you ready, kids (and adults)? SpongeBob is just as cool today as it was at its official debut on July 17, 1999. The show's unique blend of humor, wit, and absurdity sets it apart from other animated series and has made it one of the most-watched cartoons in history. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps using artwork provided by Nickelodeon.

Autumn's elegance
Vibrant Leaves — These colorful stamps spotlight the beauty of autumn. Each of these five postcard stamps features a photograph of one leaf from each of these trees: aspen, sassafras, oak, maple, and sweetgum. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamps using existing photographs.

The special allure of winter
Winter Landscapes — Perhaps there's no cooler stamps from 2025 than these, featuring five different photographs of snowy landscapes from around the United States. Art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamps with existing images taken by various photographers.
