U.S. Postal Service to Unveil SpongeBob SquarePants Forever® Stamp in Times Square

The U.S. Postal Service is making a splash this summer with the debut of the SpongeBob SquarePants Forever® stamp, celebrating the iconic animated series that has brought laughter and joy to generations. The new stamp will be unveiled on Thursday, August 1, in the heart of New York City — Father Duffy Square in Times Square — during a special live ceremony on CBS Mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (Eastern).
Fans of all ages are invited to attend the public celebration, which will feature stamp sales, special postmark cancellations, and a vibrant ceremony program. Attendees can also enjoy exclusive SpongeBob-themed giveaways, including official programs and merchandise, while supplies last.
Since its debut in 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has become a cultural phenomenon, inspiring countless viewers with optimism, humor, and pineapple-dwelling adventures under the sea. The commemorative stamps feature colorful images of SpongeBob flashing his signature smile — the perfect way to brighten any envelope — and a collection of other fan-favorite characters from the show.
