Baby Wild Animals Make Their Debut
Eye-catching illustrations adorn these endearing new stamps

Did you know that young deer are virtually scent-free? That and other traits — such as their dappled camouflage and ability to remain motionless — help keep fawns safe in the wild.
Including the fawn, 10 baby wild animal species are portrayed with graphic style in a new booklet of 20 Forever stamps, issued by the U.S. Postal Service on May 23, 2025.

“I wanted to capture the energy of these baby animals,” says artist Tracy Walker, who arranged bold shapes of solid color into the stamps’ sweet menagerie: deer, fox, seal, rabbit, raccoon, bear, skunk, bobcat, and pairs of chipmunks and owls. These creatures range widely across the United States.
“Children may wonder where each animal lives,” says Walker, so she gave each stamp a hint as to its environment. The raccoon splashing water is likely washing or fishing, as raccoon cubs learn to do. The added elements of nature “give each animal something to interact with,” she says. “It makes each pose even more fun and dynamic — a visual exclamation point.”
The Baby Wild Animals stamps and other stamp-inspired products are now available for purchase.
