Pane of 20

$21.40

Honor humanitarian Elie Wiesel (1928–2016) with this two-ounce stamp from the U.S. Postal Service. A survivor of Nazi concentration camps, Wiesel fought for human rights and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986. His writing about the Holocaust is forever seared on the public consciousness.

Issued in a pane of 20, the 18th stamp in the Distinguished American series features a 1999 black-and-white photograph of Wiesel in a suit and tie, with a pensive expression on his face. Art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamp with a photograph by Sergey Bermeniev.
