2026 Winter Holiday Stamps On Sale Now

Spice up the holidays this winter with a festive selection of stamps from the U.S. Postal Service. Whether you’re searching for a particular holiday-themed stamp or something more season-inspired, USPS makes it easy to find the perfect addition to your outgoing mail.

Holiday Stamps Available

Kwanzaa (2026)

The Kwanzaa stamps are a great choice for those looking for meaningful imagery that celebrates and reaffirms African American culture. This is the 11th Kwanzaa stamp honoring the Pan-African holiday that is observed by millions of Americans from December 26 to January 1.

The stamp art includes two traditional Kwanzaa symbols: a gift (zawadi) and a unity cup (kikombe cha umoja). The other five are the candleholder (kinara), seven candles (mishumaa saba), crops (mazao), mat (mkeka), and corn (muhindi). 

“I wanted to use colors that felt fresh and unexpected compared to the traditional Kwanzaa palette,” artist Cannaday Chapman explains. “The lime green, pink, and yellow combination is intended to be a vibrant, updated take on the traditional green, red, and black.” 

Both the 2026 and the 2024 Kwanzaa stamps are available for purchase online at the USPS Postal Store® or at your local Post Office™ location.

Christmas Cookies (2026)

Check out these colorful new stamps showcasing a favorite holiday activity: baking and decorating sugar cookies. For generations, families have gathered in the kitchen to roll out dough, select cookie cutters, and carefully frost each treat.

Each of the four stamps features a uniquely decorated cookie — a Christmas tree, a stocking, a wrapped present, and Santa’s face — and reflects the joys of baking together and sharing the delicious results.

These Christmas Cookies Forever® stamps are available in booklets of 20. 

Hanukkah (2026)

Hanukkah commemorates the successful revolt of the Jewish people against the oppressive Seleucid Empire in 167 B.C.E. This joyous holiday is celebrated with games, music, and special foods.

One popular tradition is playing with a top known as a dreidel, a word that means “to turn” in Yiddish. According to Jewish folklore, when Seleucid government officials were near, Jewish children — then forbidden from studying the Torah — would hide their religious texts and take out their dreidels, pretending they were playing, not studying. However, many historians believe that the dreidel game was actually adapted in 16th-century Europe from a popular secular game called “teetotum.”

The stamp art both reflects artist Lisa Perrin’s Jewish heritage and Eastern European folk art traditions. “It’s very special to create a piece of artwork about my culture and tradition,” says Perrin. “The Hanukkah story is very much about hope and light, something I think we could all use.”

Christmas Madonna and Child (2026)

If you prefer more traditional Christmas images, this tranquil Christmas Madonna and Child stamp might be the answer. Featuring a depiction of the Madonna and Child painted around the year 1500, the illustration is distinctive for its large central figure of Mary in red garments and an array of symbolic background details. With this stamp, USPS continues its 60-year tradition of featuring Madonna and Child paintings. Madonna and Child stamps were issued nearly every year until 2009, with occasional departures to show other traditional Christmas imagery such as angels or Nativity scenes.

Winter Wreath (2026)

Planning to send a holiday card overseas? The Global Winter Wreath stamp is designed for international mailings and features a snowy, decorated wreath, a wintertime symbol that has long been associated with the season's festivities. 

Since the first Global issuance in 2013, international stamps have featured Earth, the moon, flowers, and an 18th-century drawing of a compass rose. These stamps can be used to mail a one-ounce letter to any country to which First-Class Mail International® service is available. As with all Global stamps, the stamp has a postage value equivalent to the price of the single-piece First-Class Mail International first-ounce machineable letter in effect at the time of use.

For a festive alternative, the still available 2018 Global stamp features the red poinsettia — native to Mexico and closely tied to holiday traditions in the U.S. Both the Winter Wreath and Poinsettia stamps can be purchased online at the Postal Store.

Squirrels & Chipmunks in Snow (2026)

These playful images of squirrels and chipmunks in their winter habitats are perfect stamp choices for animal and nature lovers, or anyone with a penchant for the lighter side. Featuring photographs of an American red squirrel, two eastern chipmunks, and an eastern gray squirrel, they’re a fun, spirited way to add a dash of winter magic and charm to cards and letters all year long.

Holiday Joy (2025)

With a color palette including red, green, blue, pink, yellow, and white, illustrator Michelle Muñoz channeled her love of Christmas, vintage ornaments, and Mexican folk art to create unique images of holiday décor. She especially took inspiration from the patterns typically seen on textiles, ornaments, and decorations found in traditional Mexican households. “I was exposed to vibrant colors and floral patterns that ultimately became part of my signature style,” she explains.

Winter Woodland Animals (2025)

The Winter Woodland Animals stamps, which feature four illustrations of different woodland creatures in their winter habitats, are another great option for animal and nature lovers. Among the most familiar of wildlife and spotted across much of the American landscape, the deer, rabbits, owls, and foxes depicted in these whimsical, graphic illustrations connect us to the natural beauty of the winter season.

Illustrator Katie Kirk digitally created the stamps using geometric shapes of bold, solid color. “I’ve always been drawn to animals and wildlife,” says Kirk. “It probably stems from growing up in a more rural area and having parents that passed on their love of nature and science to me.”
