About This Stamp
The World Peace Through World Trade stamp was issued in conjunction with the 17th Congress of the International Chamber of Commerce, which met in Washington, D.C., April 19–25, 1959. The International Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization in the world and was founded in 1919 to serve world business by promoting trade and investment, open markets for goods and services, and the free flow of capital. The stamp features an image of a globe and a laurel spray.
