About This Stamp
Wedding Blooms is a beautiful and vibrant two-ounce stamp now available for correspondence celebrating many of life’s special moments.
The stamp features a tableau of brilliantly colored, abstract flowers rendered in ink and gouache paint. Gouache is known for its lustrous color, which the artist used to create the vivid hues of red, yellow, purple, pink, green, and blue that grace this vertical floral illustration.
This charming stamp can accommodate the weight of heavy invitations for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and other celebrations; greeting cards for all occasions; and mailings such as small gifts that require extra postage. The Wedding Blooms two-ounce stamp is similar in design to the Celebration Blooms Forever® stamp, and the two form a natural pair.
Art director Derry Noyes designed the stamp with an existing illustration by artist Kim Parker.
The words “Two Ounce” on this stamp indicate its usage value. Like a Forever stamp, this stamp will always be valid for the rate printed on it.

Derry Noyes
For more than 40 years Derry Noyes has designed and provided art direction for close to 800 United States postage stamps and stamp products. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Hampshire College and a master of fine arts degree from Yale University.
Noyes worked as a graphics designer at Beveridge and Associates, a Washington, D.C., firm, until 1979 when she established her own design firm, Derry Noyes Graphics. Her clients have included museums, corporations, foundations, and architectural and educational institutions. Her work has been honored by American Illustration, the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington, Communication Arts, Critique magazine, Graphis, Creativity International, and the Society of Illustrators.
Before becoming an art director for the U.S. Postal Service, she served as a member of the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee from 1981 to 1983.
Noyes is a resident of Washington, D.C.

Kim Parker
Kim Parker is an internationally acclaimed artist, designer, and author based in New York City. Her signature style is exuberant floral art, and her designs and artwork have been distributed worldwide on designer rugs, dinnerware, bedding and bath, wallpaper and fabric, wall art, and stationery.
Coming from a family of accomplished musicians and artists, Parker was exposed to works of art and beautiful music at an early age, which fostered a love of both. Classically trained as a flutist at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Parker taught herself the fundamentals of floral painting and textile design between concerts and in her free time. Her foundation in music has proved to be useful in her design life as it has given her a sense of lyricism, discipline, and harmony that is key to the process of creating a visually pleasing pattern.
Parker’s floral designs have garnered three British design awards: the ELLE Decoration Award, the D&D Award (Design & Decoration), and the Observer Magazine Award. Her work has appeared in numerous publications such as The New York Times, British Vogue, Elle, House & Garden, Architectural Digest, The London Guardian, The World of Interiors, and Country Living magazine.
Published books by Parker include Kim Parker Home: A Life in Design, Interior Gardens: A New York Memoir, and a children’s book, Counting in the Garden.
When not painting floral textile designs or floral and abstract fine art, Parker enjoys playing Brazilian jazz and improvising to all kinds of music. She is an avid writer and diarist, and passionately advocates for both human and animal rights.
The 2024 Celebration Blooms and Wedding Blooms stamps are her first projects with the U.S. Postal Service.
