About This Stamp
This Ohio Statehood stamp commemorates the 150th anniversary of Ohio’s admission into statehood. The state was formed from a portion of the Northwest Territory and was named after the Iroquois word for “great river.” The stamp features a map of Ohio, the state seal and a buckeye leaf.
