About This Stamp

The 1993 Traditional Christmas stamp, featuring a reproduction of "Madonna and Child," was issued in Raleigh, North Carolina. The original painting, by Giovanni Battista Cima, is on display at the North Carolina Museum of Art.

Bradbury Thompson designed the Traditional stamps, which were printed in sheets of fifty by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. KCS Industries printed the booklets in the offset/intaglio process.
