Liberty Bell Stamped Envelope

About This Stamp

In 2011 the U.S. Postal Service will reprint the Forever® stamped envelope that it first issued in 2009. As with Forever® stamps, the value of the postage on Forever® stamped envelopes is always equal in value to the then-current First-Class Mail one-ounce single-piece letter price.

The stamp art depicts the Liberty Bell, perhaps the most prominent and recognizable symbol associated with American independence. Over the years, the historic significance of the bell’s message has transcended our national borders, and today it is an international icon of freedom. Replicas of the Liberty Bell exist in all fifty states and the District of Columbia.
