About This Stamp
This stamp features an image of a 50-star United States flag over the White House. The flag is nicknamed the “Stars and Stripes,” “Old Glory,” or “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The 50-star flag has been used since 1959, following the admission of Alaska and Hawaii. The layout for the flag was designed by Robert G. Heft, as part of a high school project.
