About This Stamp

The Postal Service issued the Fishing Flies stamps on May 31, 1991, in Cuddebackville, New York. Each of the five stamp designs features a classic fishing fly pictured against an outdoor scene, including: Royal Wulff, Jock Scott, Apte Tarpon Fly, Lefty's Deceiver, and Muddler Minnow.

Designed by Chuck Ripper, the stamps were printed in the photogravure process by the American Bank Note Company and issued in panes of 20.
