About This Stamp

This 1987 stamp commemorated opera singer Enrico Caruso as part of the Performing Arts series. Jim Sharpe of Westport, Connecticut, designed the stamp (as well as all of those in the series before it), creating a composite of many photos of Caruso in his role as the Duke of Manua in Rigoletto.
