About This Stamp
This Cordell Hull stamp features a portrait of Secretary of State Cordell Hull. Cordell was the longest-serving Secretary of State, serving a total of 11 years under President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. After being admitted to the bar, he went on to serve in the Texas House of Representatives, and later the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate. He received a Nobel Peace Prize in 1945 for his work in establishing the United Nations.
