Stamp Ceremony Memento

$33.95
Sold Out

Honor the 39th President of the United States with this Stamp Ceremony Memento. President Jimmy Carter (1924–2024) came to the White House in 1977 as an outsider who represented a new generation of progressive Southern politicians. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002, long after the end of his tenure.

This collectible comes with everything you need to commemorate the Jimmy Carter issuance. It contains the First Day of Issue Ceremony Invitation, the First Day of Issue Ceremony Program, a Digital Color Postmark First Day Cover, and a mint pane of 20 Jimmy Carter Forever® stamps.

The stamp design features a 1982 oil-on-linen work created as a life study by artist Herbert E. Abrams (1921–2003) in preparation for painting his official White House portrait of Carter. Art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamp.
