First Day Cover

Honor humanitarian Elie Wiesel (1928–2016) with this First Day Cover from the U.S. Postal Service. A survivor of Nazi concentration camps, Wiesel fought for human rights and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986. 

The #6 ¾ envelope bears an affixed Elie Wiesel two-ounce stamp canceled with an official First Day of Issue postmark. 

The postmark features the name, date, and location of the stamp issuance.
